Over 100 students are a step closer to their dream jobs after attending a careers fair held at Chelmsford College last week.
Schools and colleges from across Mid-Essex gathered at Chelmsford College to talk to over 70 exhibitors during the event including training providers, employers and universities – many of which had jobs on offer to those who had attended.
During the event students were able to hear first-hand experiences from employers as they walked round the stands and the opportunity to attend workshops as well as talks aiming to inspire the next generation of workers.
The Mid-Essex Careers Event and Chelmsford College Progression Fair was designed to answer the big question ‘What happens next?’ – particularly as many young people are preparing to complete their current education or college course this summer.
The event was funded by the Essex Employment and Skills Board and has given students the chance to review all avenues in the next step of their lives, whether that be further education, apprenticeships or full time jobs.
