Our client is a global organisation operating within the Market/Business Intelligence sector, with a wide range of product offerings to both Public and Private Sector across database management, digital platforms and subscription based products. In addition they run over 15 Conferences, Industry leading Events and Award evenings, and this role is to manage the team responsible for the revenue across these Awards and Events.
The primary responsibility will be driving sustainable sales growth to highest performance as well as delivering an outstanding customer experience. The Sales Manager will lead and develop an existing team of people to achieve set key performance indicators. They will drive the team to deliver both new and existing opportunities in order to over-achieve the business targets set.
The role would suit an Sales manager used to coaching and developing Internal/phone based salespeople. The sales role involves contacting delegates who have attended previous events & following up warm leads which have been generated by the marketing department – you will need to be an excellent relationship builder and excellent up seller!
This role manages a team with a target in the excess of £1million so will need an experienced sales leader who can demonstrate experience and skills as below;
- Planning and implementing a sales strategy.
- The expertise needed to coach and develop a team to over perform.
- A positive approach to goals set.
- Organised and Target Driven.
- Leadership by example – motivate, challenge and inspire.
- Growth/winner mentality.
- Ability to understand the key priorities and drivers for client decision makers and influencers.
- Excellent Client Management skills at C-Level is essential.
